Tony Truong is a Toronto-based Vietnamese-Canadian cinematographer with a passion for bringing underrepresented stories to the forefront of cinema. With two nominations from the Canadian Society of Cinematographers, he has established himself as a talented and dedicated artist in his field. His work has been screened at multiple festivals - including Toronto’s Inside Out 2SLGBTQ+ Film Festival, Seattle’s National Film Festival for Talented Youth, Forest City Film Festival, and more. Tony was also awarded the Richard Leiterman Award for Best Cinematography on his film Alfie.
Beyond working as a cinematographer, Tony is an experienced Assistant Camera and Camera Operator. He has worked with a number of clients and companies such as Auston Matthews, Arc’teryx, Nike, The Tragically Hip, Tim Hortons, Riot Games, Movember, Wealthsimple, CFL, New Era, Vice Media, and Zitsticka
